Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Graduates from Texas Tech University are highly regarded.

  • Licensing: Valid Mortgage Broker License in the state of Texas.

  • Experience: Demonstrable experience in mortgage brokering or a closely related financial field. Familiarity with real estate investment is highly beneficial.

  • Market Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the Texas real estate market, mortgage products, and lending practices.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability in financial analysis, risk assessment, and underwriting.

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven track record of establishing trust with clients.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Up-to-date knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment pertaining to mortgage lending in Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Client Consultation: Conduct detailed financial and needs analysis for clients to recommend appropriate mortgage products.

  • Loan Processing: Guide clients through the mortgage application process, including documentation, application submission, and underwriting.

  • Market Research: Keep abreast of current market trends, mortgage rates, and financial products to provide the best solutions to clients.

  • Networking: Develop and maintain relationships with real estate professionals, lenders, and clients to foster business growth.

  • Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all transactions comply with state and federal regulations, maintaining the highest levels of integrity and ethical standards.

  • Client Education: Educate clients about different mortgage options, terms, and financial implications, ensuring they make informed decisions.

  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve client inquiries and issues promptly and effectively.
